What I don't get is that although I can see and enter the folders and files below /boot/efi from the running system, those same sub-folders and files don't exist in a backup of the root filesystem done with Grsync using full superuser rights and all the other capabilities that Grsync offers. Curious.
I'm completely unfamiliar with Grsync. Is it possible it mishandles FAT filesystems? Until you make a change to GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR= and employ it, you cannot expect more than /boot/efi/EFI/opensuse/ and /boot/efi/EFI/BOOT/. -- Evolution as taught in public schools, like religion, is based on faith, not on science.
