Curious, Ctrl+Alt+DEL seems the only way to use the default leave option !!!
Please go to System Settings/Startup and Shutdown --> Desktop Settings and take/post a screenshot. At least in Leap 15.4, there are two boxes at the top, under the heading "General". The second of these is "Offer Shutdown Options". If this is not ticked, do so. You may need to log out/log in to get it into your desktop/right click options.
it is present in Tw also, but doesn't appear to do anything whether selected or not. No change to the <rt-click> desktop options.
It didn't do anything here either, which is why I suggested logging out and back in -- which I didn't try.
well, it was selected on my box when I checked and there was no option provided by <rt-click> on desktop.
I also have a new machine with Tw and that option was automagically selected on install but still there is no "leave" option available on the desktop.
there is an option to "log out" available on the application launcher, but it's not available by <rt-click> on desktop as it was previous.
OK, thanks. This wasn't clear in the OP's response to Danielle. Sounds like a bug report is in order -- though I don't know if it should go the the openSUSE team, or upstream.
If you look at the documentation for the "offer shutdown options" checkbox it says "If this option is checked, Plasma will offer a choice of actions during logout. These include simply ending the current session (the action performed if shutdown options are not enabled) turning off the computer, or restarting the computer." So this checkbox does not have to do with what is presented in the right click menu...I don't see why a bug report is appropriate. Felix Miata's reply gave the answer for how to get the "Leave..." option back in this menu. -- Jason Craig
