I have just received this unsatisfactory reply from the Open Design Alliance support: [JIRA] Updates for SUP-7006: [Contact ODA Webmaster] ODA File Converter - reference: repository ODAFileConverter_QT5_lnxX64_7.2dll_21.10.rpm From: "Open Design Alliance (JIRA)" <support@opendesign.com> To: Ich Date: 26.11.20 10:37 on 26/Nov/2020 02:25 Hi Michael, Oda qt examples required qt version 5.14 and i afraid that it is impossible to install oda qt examples on openSUSE Leap 15.2 if only qt 5.12 available in repo. You can try install qt5.14.1 manually(for example build from sources) but it is difficult case. P.S. opensuse tumbleweed has qt version 5.15 in repo. The repo is provided by the Open Design Alliance, used to enable import and export of DWG files. See here: https://www.opendesign.com/guestfiles/oda_file_converter[1] A specific openSUSE repo is not provided. A support request has already been started. Kind regards M. Am Mittwoch, 25. To satisfy your curiosity Dave:
I tried to install this repo
ODAFileConverter_QT5_lnxX64_7.2dll_21.10.rpm
and installation attempt showed:
localhost: # zypper in ODAFileConverter_QT5_lnxX64_7.2dll_21.10.rpm
Repository data is loaded... Installed packages are read... Package dependencies are resolved...
Problem: libQt5Core.so.5(Qt_5.14)(64bit) required by ODAFileConverter-21.10.0.0-1.x86_64 is not provided anywhere
Solution 1: Do not install ODAFileConverter-21.10.0.0-1.x86_64 Solution 2: Break ODAFileConverter-21.10.0.0-1.x86_64 by ignoring
some dependencies
Select from the above solutions by number or break (a)b [1/2/a/d/?] (a): a
Well that shows you got that RPM (which is not a repo, BTW) from somewhere other than an openSUSE repo. So I would ask whoever provides that RPM where you're supposed to get the required dependencies. 5.12 is the LTS version provided with Leap 15.2 5.15 is the next LTS version 5.14 is some intermediate version whose support expires in the middle of next month, so why exactly does whoever is supplying the RPM you want to use with such a short-dated requirement? (assuming you have made repositories containing both 5.12 and 5.15 available to zypper, of course ? :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qt_version_history#Qt_5

within this e-mail I would like to inquire, if the following package for openSUSE Leap 15.2 ff can be made available:
libQt5Core.so.5(Qt_5.14)(64bit)
I could not find an official package available for openSUSE Leap 15.2.
Only the version libQt5Core5_ 5.12.7 is available under:
https://software.opensuse.org/download/package? package=libQt5Core5&project=openSUSE%3ALeap%3A15.2%3AUpdate[1]
Well that's not quite correct. 5.15.2 is available from some repositories and there's the odd repository with a couple of other versions too. See https://software.opensuse.org/package/libQt5Core5 for details. But none seem to have any version of 5.14
I'm curious why you want that particular version?
Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Kind regards
