since latestet KDE Update, when opening a Konsole from Dolphin with F4, it starts automatically in root mode.
This is the same (new) behaviour as Konsole itself, which suddenly starts in root mode as well. While this could be fixed by changing Settings -> Profile ->
Standard as default profile, this option seem not to exist for Konsole from
Dolphin ~/.config/dolphinrc does not seem to have a corresponding entry either.
does not happen for me on Tumbleweeds 20211228, you didn't say which.
Same version here on 2 TW machines, same issue for both
and both have DefaultProfile=default.profile
In ~/.config/dolphinrc ?
[Desktop Entry] DefaultProfile=Shell.profile
changing this to default.profile fixed it indeed. Question is where this setting came from, as behavior just changed recently. And if there is an option to change this from the dolphin menu (not everybody wants to dig in config files....)
I cannot definitively answer but ... I quite possibly set DefaultProfile as default.profile quite some time ago as I make changes to both dolphin and konsole to fit my work patterns and visual preferences, black on white, window size, fount, ... and, my configuration(s) has quite some age, maybe back to Gregg KH and Evergreen times :) and I have not made any configuration changes to konsole or dolphin that I recall in the last year aside console window size.
