Ok, I don't use TW. Your alternative will be to use gnome tools instead, for a while at least.
I'm using TW and just tried to connect my android phone. It works for me. In case of transfer problems I use android-file-transfer-linux which is available for TW at least.
After update to Tumbleweed 20230724, connection to Android device is working again in dolphin, but not with android-file-transfer - it claims the phone is not a MTP device. Cheers Axel
