hah theats weird, sorry for the fuss here, you are absolutely right. I only tried them in combination with that FN key... their function is apparently the default when using this laptop with suse. The next question would then be: wonder where you can set the FN being active or not. Thanks for asking this very obvious question. So brightness and volume immediately works.
depends... I have a lot of brand new Lenovo keyboard, very good apart the fact that one *have* to press "Fn" before any F1, F2... key and this is really annoying in debug work... Never could solve this one :-(
In one of my machines, a Lenovo laptop, I think, this preference can be reversed in bios. Yes, a Lenovo Yoga 300, trying now. Didn't know of Fn+Esc [...] Nope, no change. (using XFCE desktop) -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from Elesar, using openSUSE Leap 15.3)
