Re: [opensuse-summit] Visa letter
Hi Max Thanks for your reply. I will be applying for visa on Monday, 22 September 2014, so could I get the letter as per the details I've sent earlier, and have also replied to "Need your input..." mail. Let me know if you need any more information. Kind regards Jigish On Thu, Sep 18, 2014 at 8:52 AM, Max <sakanamax@gmail.com> wrote:
Dear Jigish:
Sorry for the late reply. And thanks for coming openSUSE.Asia Summit 2014.
You should receive the e-mail "Need your input for openSUSE.Asia Summit 2014 speaking!"
In the email, part of them will help to get visa letter. But we need more other information from speakers. ^^
Please feel free to ask us questions.

Hi Sunny and the Summit team,
For visa invitation letter the following it needed:
Invitation / Notification Letter: Invitation/Notification Letter from Chinese host / inviting Company on its letter head with complete address & contact number, duly signed manually with round seal (on a blank space and not over any name/signatures) & signatory's name and designation. The letter should be addressed to "The Visa Officer, Embassy of China, New Delhi" Please Note: a) the invite letter has to be signed in Chinese language, if the inviter is a Chinese National.
Attaching my passport details required on the invitation letter. (Name, Date of birth, Passport No., Date of issue, Date of expiry)
I have also not seen any updates on talks since I sent confirmation for the short talk, the events page still shows "Review pending" https://events.opensuse.org/conference/summitasia14/proposal
Looking forward to seeing you all.
Kind regards
Jigish

Hi Max Could you also please suggest hotels around $30USD per night, lower will be awesome. I am unable to find anything decent for low price searching online. I don't mind staying as paying guest at someone's house if that is possible. If the place is little far from summit venue but easy to reach via bus also should be fine. I have booked https://www.booking.com/hotel/cn/greentree-inn-beijing-xueyuan-road-busine ss.en-gb.html hope it is close to the summit venue.
It is not far from venue, but you need to do one time transfer from Line 13 to Line 10 by subway. BTW, this hotel is close to Tsinghua University, which is one of most famous universities in China. Best Regards, Sunny
See you all soon.
Kind regards
