Re: [opensuse-squeegee] Squeege Logo concepts
Hey, Robb, nice to see you still on the list! Thanks for engaging so quickly. I can see where Cameron's going with it. I like the wiping squeegee concept the most, too. I think where Cameron is going is making the squeegee concept even clearer. As it wipes the screen, it could be a wiper, cleaner, etc., and the word "squeegee" may not come to mind as quickly as it may if the squeegee were propped along the side. Your point is well taken, too, about the design concepts that we need to honor. Is there a way to increase identification with "squeegee" while honoring those concepts?

Hi Cameron,
Do you have a particular reason in mind that the wiper next to the monitor would improve the concept? I'm pushing back because a key in icon / logo development is using space efficiently. A wiper on a screen suggests cleaning the content of the screen, and doesn't require extra space, while a wiper standing next to the screen suggests . . . ? and requires extra space. Do you see what I'm saying? I'm completely open to other ideas, but just want to know the rationale behind them if I can't see it right off.
Thanks,
Robb

These are the concepts we looked at last fall.
