I'm ussing a SuSE 6.4 distribution and wondering about how to use Apache + SSL. I've installed apache and openssl and try to configure apache to use SSL but take a look at this: bacterio@stormind:~/bin > ./httpd start Starting service HTTPD for BacterioSyntax error on line 372 of /home/bacterio/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load /usr/lib/libssl.so.0 into server: /usr/lib/libssl.so.0: undefined symbol: X509_free failed bacterio@stormind:~/bin > As you can see, i'm ussing a secondary server running below another user, but this should not be relevant (the server runs ok with the SSL undefined). The only trouble that could be with this is the 443 SSL port, but that's another history; i want to know what packages i need exactly to have my Apache running with SSL support and how to configure it. Thanks in advance every body, -- Francisco M. Marzoa Alonso Loyalt-e Commerce, S.A. bacterio@stormind:~/bin > ./httpd start Starting service HTTPD for BacterioSyntax error on line 372 of /home/bacterio/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load /usr/lib/libssl.so.0 into server: /usr/lib/libssl.so.0: undefined symbol: X509_free
Shouldn't that read
/usr/lib/apache/libssl.so
instead of /usr/lib/libssl.so.0 ?
Thanks,
Roman.
