Hi *! KDM/XDM's shutdown prooerties can be set in YAST's login configuration - simply choose "local", so only a user sitting in front of your machine can do a shutdown. Other Options - like root, all (not so wise) or none - are also available. So this should not not be a problem - if it is wanted to use the KDM/XDM-login from a remote host. If not, the safest way is to deny any remote KDM/XDM-login as indicated. - Dirk -- Dipl.-Ing.
