Hi, I have a problem with one off my emails scanned by amavis. This the error message:
----- Transcript of session follows ----- Can't use an undefined value as an ARRAY reference at /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/Archive/Tar.pm line 737. 554 5.3.0
, ... unknown mailer error 255
I don't know why amavis calls the Tar.pm because there is no tar-archive attached to the mail. The attachments are plain text files. Which version of AMaViS _exactly_? In general, please see http://www.amavis.org/amavis-user-guidelines.php3#Technical for reporting any problems with amavis. Thanks.

Upps sorry. It's amavis perl-11 on linux (kernal 2.2.18). The MTA is sendmail 8.11.2.

So I tried to save the attachments as local-files from the dead.letter written by amavis and ask file for each type but none off them are reported as tar. But I had a closer look at the attachment. The file which produces the error is created by a shell-script to report errors and it looks like a tar file is placed somewhere in it. Ok, I assume you've installed it out of the sources? Or did you use the RPM we ship since SuSE 7.2? Probably the amavis-user mailing list is a better place for discussing amavis-related stuff.

May I ask you to send me the whole mail (or at least the script) to have a closer look at this issue? Thanks.
