major security bug in reiserfs (may affect SuSE Linux)
Hi all, I Found the following mail-alert in de BUGTRAQ-maillinglist. Can anyone confirm this hole?? Greetings, Dave
But there were more posts from people that tried it and could not reproduce
the crash. So the question is whether the problem is realy with ReiserFS
or with the kernel he is using?

We are working on it... LenZ -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Lenz Grimmer SuSE GmbH mailto:grimmer@suse.de Schanzaeckerstr. 10 http://www.suse.de/~grimmer/ 90443 Nuernberg, Germany The happy and the powerful never willingly go into exile.

Current status: We can't reproduce it on 7.0 installations. The reiserfs
in 7.0 had a last-minute bugfix that was incorporated into one of the
future releases of reiserfs.
Can anybody else reproduce it?
Roman.
