can anyone tell me how to get a new key (licence) for antivir on openSuSE 10.2? I've looked through the web site www.free-av.com and can't find anywhere where I can request or get a new free key for AV Classic for Linux or even a paid-for key for AV Premium for Linux.

Can someone send me a current URL for the right page, please?

Download the free software for Linux / FreeBSD / Solaris from http://www.free-av.de/antivirus/allinoned.html and extract the archive file into a temporary directory. You will find the file hbedv.key in the directory antivir-workstation-pers-2.1.10-15. If you have already installed AntiVir from the SUSE DVD, you can simply copy the hbedv.key file to the directory /usr/lib/AntiVir, overwriting the file that came from the DVD.
