dunno but i think it's so many these days to patch + test that it can take a few days... PPL with postfix servers infront of sendmail can protect them by adding something like that: awk ' BEGIN { printf "/%c/ REJECT Possible CA-2003-12 exploit\n",255 exit } ' >/etc/postfix/block255 /etc/postfix/main.cf: header_checks = /etc/postfix/block255 ...other_files... (the extra file is necessary due to some text editors may not be able to handle such special characters.) Have a lot of fun ...
What about migrating from sendmail to postfix? Where can I find good docs about it? Just fire up yast and select to remove sendmail, yast will complain and offer the choice to install either sendmail or postfix. At least - thats how I changed to postfix log time ago when I was running SuSE 7.x Use Yast to configure postfix or go to www.postfix.org and you will find a lot of examples, documentation and faq. -- Regards Klaus Vink Slott
