Fwd: Re: [suse-security] An error with SUSE Linux 9.1 Professional
Hey all, Sorry about posting here, but I want to say thanks for all the replies, it was nice you guys still replied anyway. I have fixed the problem. I installed the initrd thing that makes it. I figured something like this would have been a default, but trial and error works too heh. Anyway, thanks again! I also wrote a tutorial after I finished the install with a play by play. ;) On Wednesday 16 June 2004 06:48, Armin Schoech wrote:
Hi,
Sorry if this is the wrong list, but I'm installing SUSE Linux 9.1 Professional right now, and the software has just finished installing, and a window popped up while it was "Finishing Basic Installation" saying "An error occured during initrd creation. Sh: line 1: /sbin/mkinitrd: No such file or directory"
--> Try to run the command manually before rebooting. This seems to be a bug in the installation script because the command is called "mk_initrd" (with an underscore!)
Good luck! Armin
