Hallo all, i've installed the secumod packet, but there is no module called secumod.o. Is there someone out there who can tell me where i can find this module. I've tried to recompile the Kernel, with secumod enabled, but there isn't any option to enable this in the Kernel. Greetings Ralf

Have you tried any of the commands "locate secumod", "man rpm", "rpm -qd secumod", or "rpm -ql secumod"? Have you considered reading the package information at installation time? virtually yours 82D1 9B9C 01DC 4FB4 D7B4 61BE 3F49 4F77 72DE DA76 Gerhard Sittig true | mail -s "get gpg key" Gerhard.Sittig@gmx.net -- If you don't understand or are scared by any of the above ask your parents or an adult to help you.

You could also try find ./ -name secumod* It will take some time (especially if you have a large harddisk) but if there are any files on your system that contain "secumod" in their name, you will find it. Hi Gerhard, I was not the one sending theoriginal mail, but...
Have you tried any of the commands "locate secumod",
yes: no module found
"man rpm",
no: didn't need to
"rpm -qd secumod", or "rpm -ql secumod"?
yes: the module itself is not in the package.
Have you considered reading the package information at installation time?
Yes. As well as the documentation and the rcsecumod script: the module secumod.o is just missing. following the instructions gives an error, as expected... It seems the SuSE people forgot to include the 2 kernel modules... but well... on a distribuion as big as SuSE 7.1 that's almost negligible :o) Cheers, Yuri.
secumod.o should be found where all good modules live: /lib/modules/2.x.x or issue this command at the command prompt: find / |grep secumod.o ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gerhard Sittig" <Gerhard.Sittig@gmx.net> To: <suse-security@suse.com> Sent: Tuesday, April 03, 2001 10:50 AM Subject: Re: [suse-security] secumod
