Is that really wise? Is that really for security?
If I'm sstaying with 11.2 still is because I don't want to change too fast... I will have to taboo it.

Well, it fixes some security issues ... but actually is really more a large version update to libreoffice.

It should be pretty safe to update anyway, and if it does not work, go back to OOo.
Ciao, Marcus

I updated it via YAST. I do not see any 'last documents' which I like to open again. And concerning the pathes like 'Arbeitsverzeichnis' - they are reset. Not a severe problem. But maybe one should take some caution there.

That's likely because the settings directory is now $HOME/.libreoffice/. So you have to adjust your settings once.
Ciao, Michael.

You were very sensible...I performed the update and found that libreoffice does not work at all on my system. I will do some more investigation, but thought I had better get a warning out to others first.
Here are the messages:

I would appreciate very much if the update/change to LibreOffice was not marked as a security update. This makes my monitoring system (Nagios) keep on telling me that my machines have a severe security problem which is not true. By the way the first DOCX-Document from our administration I wanted to open with LibreOffice did not work/display correctly whereas OpenOffice did not have any problems with the document.
There may be work arounds for both 'problems' but labeling this update more correctly would be the better way?!
Regards
Uwe
