I found that the trusted group is used in the permissions file /etc/permissions.paranoid. Some commands (e. g. like su) are chgrp'd to this group, so that only users belongig to this group may execute them. Probably all X binaries are chgrp'd to xok? :-) Sorry I can't help any more.
