Do I need both Personal Firewall and SuSEfirewall or is Personal Firewall enough for a single box only connected to the internet?

The personal-firewall is especially thought to be the "single box"-solution. Nothing to configure, and basically impossible to misconfigure. You have to know your external interface name, or just hit "all".
