Anyone have a good recommendation for a pre-configured (rpm preferred -- a SuSE rpm would be even better;) for a quick and easy setup of SSL and Apache? I'm using SuSE 6.1 I'm using MindTerm.jar to have quick access to an SSH client via a browser. I'd like to protect the sessions via https.. thanks much Chrissy

Isn't there an "apassl" package in the SuSE distro? If not, you might have gotten (or grabbed:) the international version which misses some other important security features, too (due to licensing issues and political reasons). virtually yours - Gerhard Sittig -- If you don't understand or are scared by any of the above ask your parents or an adult to help you.

Get the mod_ssl package from our german FTP Server (for 6.1, of course) and you are all set. Read the README.SuSE on how to set up a demo certificate and how to get running. We may not distribute the mod_ssl subpackge (which is actually a part of the apache SRPM) in the international version, but you can download it. -- Mit freundlichen Gruessen, Rolf Haberrecker Leiter Business Partner Programm SuSE GmbH, Tel: +49-911-7405331 Schanzaeckerstr. 10, Fax: +49-911-7417755 90443 Nuernberg, Email: rolf@suse.de Germany WWW: http://www.suse.com/
