sslwrap is a spin-off of the openssl s_server.c example server software. As long as it is working for you, there is no particular reason to change. stunnel is being actively maintained and developped, it even has its own mailing list. I would therefore say that stunnel is much better supported. Personally I have always used sslwrap, as it just works, and it was the first one I came across (before SuSE were including either as rpms). I have never had any problems with it, so as Lutz says, there is probably no reason to change. stunnel however, does have a few extra features. a) there is a windows port b) It has support for SMTP/TLS. (This USED to be a reason to use stunnel over sslwrap, but these days, SuSE ship rpms of BOTH postfix and sendmail that have TLS/SSL support compiled in. Nice one SuSE!)
