Using Suse 7.3, I'm planning a raid (5) server instalation and was planing to use reiserfs partitions on three drives connected each to a different ide controller. Any problems with this? Is reiserfs a suitable partition for raid? any other suggestions? -- __________________________________________ J.Andersen
I installed a raid0 (stripping) with ReiserFS, and no problem. When you do the partition (with fdisk) you have to toggle the partition to fd (not to the linux native). I suggest you don't connect more than 1 device per IDE, in order to not decrease too much the performance (raid5 is the slowest RAID). Agustin John Andersen wrote:
