Hello All, I have a SuSE 7.3 box that I did not have WU-FTPD installed during setup. does anyone know of any good docs on setting WU-FTPD up on SuSE. I have it installed, but I am unable to login. Thanks. Derik

I have it installed, but I am unable to login. Man, don't use wu-ftpd, use ProFTPd. Wu-FTPd has a horrible security track record. To me it is also much more difficult to configure then ProFTPd is. It's comforting to see the familiar traditions maintained. If you look back through the archives of this list you see that every few months someone slags off the security record of wu-ftpd and someone from SuSE replies pointing out that wu-ftpd has actually had an excellent security record since SuSE did a thorough code audit, and that SuSE use it for their own ftp site because of its good performance.
