Hello list, I have the same problem as described below. I´m running SuSE 6.4/bind8.2.2 for about 1/2 year without any problems. In the last weeks named is going down first about one time a week up to now every second day - and I can´t find any hint in the logs...any idea? Thanx ---------- Von: Hipolito A. Gonzalez M. Yeah, is the same problem. I think that is any in the world shutting down the bind servers. I have running my server for about 2 years without problem, but the lasts week is the problem. Help me :)))))) -- www.geekcode.com -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.1 GCS/cc/e/it d++ s+:+ a-- C++$ UL+++$ E++ W+++$ w--- O---- M V- PS PE+++ Y+ PGP- t+ 5 X++ R tv+ b++ DI-- D+ G e++$ h! r++ y++ ------END GEEK CODE BLOCK------ - A veces creo que hay vida en otros planetas, y a veces creo que no. bind8-8.2.2 is a bad idea in these hard times according to this: http://www.sans.org/y2k/lion.htm for SuSE 6.4 you should get bind8-8.2.3-61.i386.rpm There is a statement about this at: http://www.suse.com/de/support/security/2001_003_bind8_txt.txt I've been doing 'ls -la /usr/man/man1/' quite a few times, since at least one my ISP's DNS's seems to have gone berzerk. Hope you're safe, /Jan Gajdos On Mon, 2 Apr 2001, Hipolito A. Gonzalez M. wrote:
