if you happen to have the kdelibs3-devel rpm installed, the security update for kdelibs3-3.0.5 refuses to install because -devel needs kdelibs3-3.0.4. so you have to deinstall -devel, or use -nodep; I do not like either. cheers, Lars btw, someone understands why yast does run at all without its core package? this is a recommended patch: # rpm -Uhv autoyast2-installation-2.6.38-1.noarch.patch.rpm error: failed dependencies: yast2-core is needed by autoyast2-installation-2.6.38-1 # rpm -q yast2-core package yast2-core is not installed # rpm -q --whatprovides yast2-core no package provides yast2-core but now, how comes this: # rpm -q --whatrequires yast2-core yast2-pam-2.6.5-7 yast2-2.6.34-3 yast2-backup-2.6.7-25 yast2-restore-2.6.10-25 autoyast2-installation-2.6.35-0 yast2-sound-2.6.23-3 (default installation SuSE 8.1)
