ipchains and kernel 2.4.3
Hello list! I seems like kernel 2.4.3 doesn't support ipchains any longer. Still want to use ipchains.... Any comments? cu
I seems like kernel 2.4.3 doesn't support ipchains any longer. This is partially true. There is a "compatibility" module, supporting ipchains (and even the filters of linux 2.0.x). This is not recommended, though. Some other modules (like ftp masq module and ipmasqadm modules) don't work anymore (according to my experiences. Still want to use ipchains.... Go to 2.2.19 or switch to iptables. It takes you about half a day to get into it. You will like it! :)
