Hi, last week another buffer overflow in wu-ftpd 2.5.0 was found. A patch was issued from the developers on Wednesday. Is SuSE-wuftpd also endangoured? When will the fix be available? Reference: bugtraq id 599: Multiple Vendor Wu-Ftpd Buffer Overflow Vulnerability Uh, I nearly forgot to ask about bugtraq id 602: Vixie Cron Buffer Overflow Vulnerability Regards, Lutz Jaenicke PS. For my HP-UX systems I have recompiled wu-ftpd myself, but I don´t want to waste my time if a suse_update is issued soon. -- Lutz Jaenicke Lutz.Jaenicke@aet.TU-Cottbus.DE BTU Cottbus http://www.aet.TU-Cottbus.DE/personen/jaenicke/ Lehrstuhl Allgemeine Elektrotechnik Tel. +49 355 69-4129 Universitaetsplatz 3-4, D-03044 Cottbus Fax. +49 355 69-4153
