I've disabled apm on al my firewall systems. I really dont need it only because the system is always available. Initially I would have problems with the system timing out then only coming back after a few minutes. Removing the apm stuff from my kernel helped the problem.
I'm running suse 7.3, and have recently installed harden_suse, and susefirewall2. Since, I've found that my machine "goes to sleep" after some idle period of time. To be able to connect to the machine over the network, I have to hit the a key on the keyboard. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance,
