Hi, I've upgraded some mashines from SuSE 7.1 to 7.3. All mashines upgraded with YAST2 don't allow the rsh command with! an command. rsh 'host' works, but not rsh 'host' 'command'. Mashines updated with YAST1 work without problems. The mashines, where this command should be executed have an entry for the calling mashine in /etc/hosts.lpd and /etc/hosts.equiv . The security - set is for testing easy local. If I execute the rsh command, its allway refused by: 'connection refused' Hope someone has an idea. Thanks, Egbert

I think the rsh hosts also need an entry in /etc/hosts/allow. That said, I don't use rsh myself so I may be just remembering this wrong. I don't think rsh should be enabled on any machine that handles internet packets, ever. Bear
