Just in case you've received mails like the one in the attachment: I'm nuking such people from the list without any warning. Hello

M. Rauter
Well, this is clearly security-related. :-/ You've sent two mails to suse-security this year. First: Subject: [suse-security] how to rexec xterm from pc-x emulation (SCO XVision) Message-ID: <LGEBIBEBDAKCFAPKFHILEELACBAA.rauter@ctos.de> second: Subject: AW: [suse-security] xntpd Message-ID: <LGEBIBEBDAKCFAPKFHILOEIFCCAA.rauter@ctos.de> The autoreply only goes to active people on the list. I guess somebody ran his suse-security mailfolder through some archiving software which explicitly says thanks for all the fish to all senders. Roman.
Ok, just so I know, what in particular is it that you're nuking them for? Thanks, Geordon (who got a couple from this nut-job, too.) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roman Drahtmueller" <draht@suse.de> To: <suchmaschinenmails@gmx.de>; <sebastian@helms.sh>; <suse-security@suse.de> Sent: Thursday, April 19, 2001 8:08 AM Subject: Re: [suse-security] xntpd Just in case you've received mails like the one in the attachment: I'm nuking such people from the list without any warning. For generating automatic mails. And then from headers, and not from envelopes. This screams for an accident, and in addition, I don't like that people get spammed when they post to our lists. It's not for nothing that only subscribers may post to the lists, and I can't really tolerate this automatic nonsense. You write to the list, and you see your own posting, along with the replies from the list. That's how it works. Everything else like spam and such is an annoyance. I'll have suchmaschinenmails@gmx.de removed from all SuSE mailing lists asap. Sorry for the mess. Ah, and something else, I almost forgot: Sebastian Helms is _NOT_ responsible for the mess. He's angry as well, as stated in pm to me. This is beyond what I call good manners. Thanks, Mads...
Sorry for the mess. Roman.
Yes, yes... R.
