smbmount takes settings from smb.conf. If there is "store dos attributes" set to yes and the filesystem does'nt support it you may run into problems. "store dos attributes" is to to "no" by default. Somebody send me this: cp -uR --attributes=- ./dir /mnt/share It works fine. If I don't user --attributes=- on the copy then the files are copied it's just that I get the error message. best regards, to all.
