lpr vulnerabilities?
There has been a lot of talk about lpr vulnerabilities since the Redhat Security repositry announced that their lpr had to major vulnerabilities. I am wondering if the lpr daemon in SuSE is affected, since securtyfocus suggests 'many distributions' are. Just wondering. Thanks.
Hi, we fixed these buggs but unfortunately our autobuild process has (had) some problems. :( Bye, Thomas -- Thomas Biege, SuSE GmbH, Schanzaeckerstr. 10, 90443 Nuernberg E@mail: thomas@suse.de Function: Security Support & Auditing "lynx -source http://www.suse.de/~thomas/thomas.pgp | pgp -fka" Key fingerprint = 09 48 F2 FD 81 F7 E7 98 6D C7 36 F1 96 6A 12 47

Well there isn't an announcement yet, but you find a package at: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/6.3/n1/lprold-3.0.48-4.i386.rpm ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/6.3/n1/ Since I have i386/6.3 I haven't checked, whether the ppc and axp versions or other versions than 6.3 are updated. Marc released an advisory 1 or 2 weeks ago.
