Hello When I installed SuSE 6.2 into my machine I found that when I booted it after installation I got a PGP signature and a request for login. I've since found a message which says that my kernel is not verified. I found this by chance. Does this mean that I am supposed to check my PGP signature against the kernel and vice versa ? I can't find anything in the SuSE 6.2 manual about this so I need some help. Thanks Richard Sheffield UK

I´ve never heard about this. Could you please post the exact message you receive? This does not seem to belong to a default SuSE Installation. Ok, looks like you has installed PGP. After the installation the PGP packet produces your private key by default. The login request ist the normal login and does not depend on the PGP signature ! I also can not remember on a message that the kernel is not verified. Bye Holger -- Sent through Global Message Exchange - http://www.gmx.net
