'ello all 2nd request for kind assistance : small teensy weensie problem that one of you probably woulda solved already. in xdm-config done DisplayManager.requestPort: 0 but kdeinit loves to run xdmcp pleez can someone tell me how to stop kdeinit from running this very nice filenet-tms service i remember some issues with an kxmlrpcd bug in kde 2.0 but according to kde site this was fixed in 2.1 :( Oh running SuSE 7.1 & Kde2 no services running on box except the mentioned. thx andre

The kxmlrpcd thing is started by /opt/kde2/share/services/kxmlrpcd.desktop. Just comment out the last three lines (maybe even less) of the script and you are done (almost... restart kde, or maybe logout-login is sufficient).
