I use Twofish encryption on a loopback device. Does anyone have any information on how "safe" the twofish implemented in SuSE linux is. I know there is no simple answer to this, but any information, or links to relevant sites would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Bo Jacobsen

Surely SuSE did nothing special here, so it should be as secure as on any linux. You can install different kernels etc. if you really need it for some reasons (trust?). If you ask in general, maybe www.kerneli.org has some informations. I don't have a pointer to a crypto analysis of the linux fs encryption. I guess it is safe enough for private usage (and high security demands cannot rely on it at all I guess, because I cannot imaging that some security lab has approved it).
