Good day Since a reboot a few days ago there is something wrong with my kgpg or gpg itself. When I want to send mail using kmail, the enter passphrase dialog doesn't appear - only a message stating "You have entered an invalid passphrase". I then have to send my message unsigned. When I open kgpg and want to edit my key, I get "gpg: problem with the agent - disabling agent use". pstree, however, shows 7*[gpg-agent]. I switched from exim to postfix a few days back, however I don't think the problem could be there, as I use the university's outgoing mail server to send mail from kmail. Or does kmail use the local transport even if you set it up otherwise? I had the same problem recently, after installing PGP/MIME. Maybe this link helps: http://sdb.suse.de/sdb/de/html/fhassel_kmail82.html (I'm still using SuSE 8.0, but GNUPG 1.2.2, disabling "use-agent" in gpg.conf helped). Tried this, but now I get the following error (when using a plugin): This message could not be signed! The Crypto Plug-In '/usr/lib/cryptplug/gpgme-openpgp.so' reported the following details: #19 : No Passphrase Your configuration might be invalid or the Plug-In damaged. Please contact your system administrator. When I try to use the built-in PGP I still get the "Invalid Passphrase" error. I even reinstalled kmail and kgpg - to no avail. ANY help will be MUCH appreciated! I got this message when "OpenPGP (Module)" is selected in kmail's message composer. After switching to "Internal OpenPGP (built-in)" everything worked fine.
