I try to copy some directories from one machine to an other with scp. Now I would like to do this with a cronjob, but it doesn't work. I think there is a problem with the authentication key for the remote-machine. Is there anybody who can help me, to solve this problems.
You need to put the public key from your machine into the ~/.ssh/authorized_keys" file on the remote host. Try to enter the "scp" command on the prompt. Does it work ? do you have to enter a password ? Have you specified the "-r" option for copying directories recursively ?
