Which ISP owns some IP?
Hello * : How can i know the owner of an IP address. There is no reverse mapping for dial-up address but each ISP has his own range of IP's. Could I know from where connecctions come, far away from traceroute? Yes, it could be IP spoofing but ... Thanks.

try whois. And read its man page. Also, www.geektools.com (among other sites) offer nice online traceroute/whois. Boris ---
