Why do you not simply backup your /etc/ucdsnmp.conf and rpm -e all ucdsnmp rpm's before installing the new one ? Michael

Is "ucd-snmp" perhaps a relic from an old install? Apparently, the package was renamed at some point, and now you've got both "ucdsnmp" and "ucd-snmp" installed on your system. (Perhaps you [or YOU or YaST] installed the newer package with --force - otherwise you should have gotten an error message *then*...) I would do the following: - check what "rpm ucdsnmp -qi" and "rpm ucd-snmp -qi" display (just to be sure) - back up all config files - rpm --erase ucd-snmp - rpm --freshen -hv ucdsnmp-4.2.3-79.rpm Martin
