Hello List! I want to set up a alarm script that texts me everytime it discovers something strange. It would be perfect if i could mail it to a sms gateway or something similar which would send it to my mobile number. NOTE: It's a german mobile. Is there a way? Or would a 12345678@provider.de already work? Any tips, hints, links are welcome!! One way to do this is to connect cheap GSM phone to your computer, another is probably to use an ISP or service to pass email to phone. I think there has been an article about the former kind of thing in Linux Magazine (the UK version). You might want to check out Issue 30, article "Red Alert" written by (german) Charly Kuehnast (ue referring to u umlaut:-) here: http://www.linux-magazine.com/issue/30/Charly_Column.pdf regards, timo
