2.2.19 kernels out - apparently - md5sum please
I see that a set of 2.2.19 kernel (and module) rpms and source rpms just arrived in the update/6.3/kernel of ftp.suse.com (Although I guess it will be 24h wait to see it on the sourceforge mirror, and ftp.suse.com is VERY busy tonight.) I wait for a signed md5sum to be posted so I can verify I am not a victim of dns poisoning and a fake site+binary. When will this be posted? (I think the rpms are themselves now signed , but I can't figure out how to use rpm --checksig with my pgp keyring, so I want to verify the old way.) HALOF, dproc

That's correct. The announcement will follow asap. I'm still testing - this is a rather dangerous update.

Negative. 50% of max connections - we're at 380 right now.

I thought about not doing this this time. Use
gpg --import
and pipe this key into it, then hit ctrl-d. Do it after "su -".
pgp does not work.

Oh boy - and you are working very early on a Saturday morning, I was just tooling around waiting for NT Service Pack 6a to download on a Friday evening. I am not worthy. I read Hubert was testing and issuing patched 2.2.18 kernel RPMs in April. Does anyone know if they made it to the 6.3 ftp tree? I couldn't find one last night. Going by your note this morning SuSE (you) are much happier with 2.2.19 anyway so I'll go straight to that.

I guess I shouldn't have been using Netscape to browse the ftp tree. Of course wget connected at first attempt and grabbed the update quickly. Thanks.

I apologize for jumping so quick. I will go get gpg. Rhetorical question - how do I verify sp6a ? yours humbly, dproc
