Hello List, I have successfully configured winbind - both for squid and pam - but i found the two Active Directory Servers I have behaving differently: On one I had to user wbinfo --set-auth-user Admin%Password, on the other not, in orderto get user/password-data of AD-Users and Groups. 1) Where is this password kept? After reboot the authorisation is still there - Is this data kept on the DC and bound to the MACaddress of my linuxbox or kept somewhere on my linux box? (Once authenticated like that, the linux box can recieve user/passwd data from the AD-Server until i remove it completely from the AD) 2) How long is this Authentication valid? Does it expire? 3) Do i have to call this command again someday? Do i have to put it in a starscript? with Password in clear text? I can' imagine that...
