I need to know something. I type which sendmail and I get /usr/sbin/sendmail BUT I use postfix so. do I need to upgrade sendmail ? I didn't think you can install both at the same time. so why is there a sendmail?

Maybe that is just a link to some postfix program in order to provide a sendmail-like interface... If you did not install sendmail from a source file and rpm -q sendmail gives no answer, IMHO your system should be safe wrt. to the sendmail problem. HTH Frank

postfix has a "sendmail compatibility" mode program (see http://www.postfix.org/sendmail.1.html) which replaces the original sendmail binary and which IIRC is just a symlink to one of the progs of the postfix suite (try 'ls -l /usr/sbin/sendmail'), but I haven't got a postfix installation at hand to verify that.
