Hi, my logfiles reports 404 requests to /_vti_bin/shtml.exe/_vti_rpc and similar.

Is this a kind of hacker attack?

NO, THIS IS NOT A KIND OF HACKER ATTACK. Just somebody requesting a file that does not exist on your server. Such files are ms frontpage files that exist in ms frontpage webs on frontpage-enabled webservers. Regards Dr. Bernhard Mueller University of Berne
