Hi Peter,
Is there an update to POSTFIX 2.1. expected in the near future on SUSE 9.1. ?
Best regards, Peter.
SuSE never updates to a new version (in order to not break any dependencies), so postfix 2.1 will not make it into 9.1, you'll have to wait until 9.2 for that. Greetings, Ralf

There were some discussions in the postfix-user-mailinglist. I haven't read them, but maybe you find simething in the archives. For example in: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=postfix-users Or: http://www.postfix.org/SMTPD_POLICY_README.html

I don't know about you, but my employer certainly views spam-fighting as security work. It ties very closely into virus-fighting, and spam steals time and resources we'd rather have secure so we can use them for some- thing more constructive. Postfix 2.1 compiles and runs just fine on SuSE 9.1, but I doubt you'll see an "official" RPM released by SuSE. -- Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Yours sincerely Dipl. Inform. Ralph Seichter HORUS-IT Ahornweg 10 D-57635 Oberirsen Tel +49 2686 987880 Fax +49 2686 987889 http://horus-it.de/
Here's a thought that should keep you awake at night: What happens when the virus writers, the DDOS script kiddies, and the spam writers all get together? If spam is still allowed then, you can kiss E-mail goodbye.
