PAM (pam_mysql) / Cyrus Virtual Server with MySQL
hello list can one of you explain me, how can I simply setup a virtual email server with cyrus and authentication based on mysql? How can I install the module pam_mysql into SuSE_8.1 without recompile the pam and mysql packages. Thanks for all hints. /mario
You'll find some information in the following howto: http://www.delouw.ch/linux/Postfix-Cyrus-Web-cyradm-HOWTO/html/index.html Recompilation of mysql is not needed. Just build the pam_mysql module and edit the config files. Sven Am Mit, 2003-06-04 um 13.25 schrieb Mario Neubert:

Hello Sven, hello list thank's for your message. It's a very good FAQ. *Can someone confirm me that this works with SuSE 8.1. *Which further possibilities would I have through it? *How can I arrange other virtual things through it, specially apache and user accesses? /mario

I am running it under SuSE 8.1 without problems. If you are interested in SMTP-Auth with postfix+pam_mysql, you have to recompile postfix since the SuSEs postfix rpm is not linked against mysql. Sven Am Don, 2003-06-05 um 06.55 schrieb Mario Neubert:
