Hi to all,
had same problem today. And now following link from SuSE support database:
Nice. Thanks for the tip. I'm guilty of not having a look at the database :-( But anyway, this doesn't work :-((( When typing in the command shown in the database, I get crest@okdesign:~ > su - -c "mknod /usr/local/ftp/dev/null c 1 3 -m 666" Password: mknod: /usr/local/ftp/dev/null: No such file or directory What's wrong here ? TIA. --- Stephan
Good morning to all, What I have done yesterday: - install wuftpd and ftpdir - edit the /etc/inetd.conf, I have added the "-l" (for more log infos in /var/log/messages) ftp stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd wu.ftpd -a -l - restarted the inetd deamon /sbin/init.d/inetd restart - su - -c "mknod /usr/local/ftp/dev/null c 1 3 -m 666" About the parameters of wuftpd and other, I cannot help now because I am also learning .... It would be good to take the lastest versions of wuftpd and ftpdir from the SuSE Download section. (What I did't do yet). An it work as anonymous and with other users (which are allowed) christian Security Webmaster OKDesign oHG wrote:
