Why hasn't this subscription been dropped? I have bounced the last several posts to opensuse-security+owner as previously directed!

Well, this is why I asked about this problem not long ago. It was suggested that I help with this task, I offered, but nothing has come of it. And the owner has not commented at all.

I would be available to assist, if you agree.

Whoever does it, as long as someone does it. But Novell has to decide.

It might be better to write to opensuse-security-announce+owner@opensuse.org, since the autoresponer reacted on a mail to [security-announce], where the sender of the mails is opensuse-security@opensuse.org.

Sighing,
I guess more sighing is necessary. I fail to see where opensuse-security-announce is involved. The subject mail shows:
To: opensuse-security@opensuse.org Subject: [opensuse-security] Re: [security-announce] SUSE-SU-2012:1264-1: important: Security update for IBM Java
The *only* place I see "announce" in the header is in the Subject: quoted immediately above.
????
posting address plus "+owner" has, to my recollection, always been the place to *report* discrepancies. Has that changed?
old, slow and apparently somewhat dimm :^)

This poster is subscribed to opensuse-security-announce, and whenever he gets a post from the announce list, his responder triggers (I don't know what the text of the message says). But the messages on that list are sent by "opensuse-security@opensuse.org", thus the reply gets here instead.

I guess the sighing is appropriate. Lunch and the Dos XXs are showing :^)
I will bounce the errant posts to opensuse-security-announce+owner as advised.

It's the part "Re: [security-announce]".
I subscribed to the ML opensuse-security-announce@opensuse.org myself, and the Subject of any mail starts with "[security-announce]". Plus, the sender of the mail is "opensuse-security@opensuse.org".
And as Carlos says, the autoresponder responds to the sender...
