Hi all, maybe it's little bit out of tipic question but I'd like know when or if will be one-cd Suse Linux 7.1 and 7.2 called evalution-XX on a ftp site. thanks --t0m

They are. ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/live-eval-7.2 and 7.1. Btw, talking ftp: The 7.2 ftp version is on the way to the ftp server. It will be made available hopefully later in the evening today (MEST), if something goes wrong during testing, then tomorrow morning. Even through we've targeted the weekend, you should use a mirror nearby. There will be an overload on ftp.suse.com. Will you supply new boot/modules disks? The ones coming with 7.2 professional fail to load ne2k modules (don't know about the other NICs), so installation over the network (we copied the DVD to a central hard disk) was not possible. (Just found out some hours ago.) Best regards, Lutz PS. Booting with the 7.1 disk set and then installing via NFS from DVD-7.2 did work, though. PPS. I am talking Yast1. Yast2 fails as it cannot mount the installation medium to /var/adm/mount (which is already mounted at that time). But this may be caused by booting from 7.1 (?) and it should not apply to the FTP version. -- Lutz Jaenicke Lutz.Jaenicke@aet.TU-Cottbus.DE BTU Cottbus http://www.aet.TU-Cottbus.DE/personen/jaenicke/ Lehrstuhl Allgemeine Elektrotechnik Tel. +49 355 69-4129 Universitaetsplatz 3-4, D-03044 Cottbus Fax. +49 355 69-4153

Well, I find a boot disk image on SuSE's ftp-server. You can download it from ftp//ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/7.2/bootdisk/
[...] That whole thing is not security related. The fact that the crypto stuff in userspace as well as in the kernel are included in full. But there is a bootdisk update out there (a matter of inevitablity). As usual, the ftp distribution will have all the updates as a snapshot.
