Hey security team I am new in the Linux-world and would like to have some support in installing harden_suse. How I install it and with what switch-options? thnxs Oliver
Hi, harden_suse is a perl script, that only needs to be untared and unzipped, if you didnt install it with yast/2. If so, just execute it. Before you do so, make sure perl is installed and you have read the README. The README will be displayed while the script is running and will ask you, which types of hardening you choose. You should know exactly what you want this script to do, in case you want to use your computer to work after installation in a way you still can use it. You can find the newest version as tarball and some further information on www.suse.de/~marc . If something went wrong, harden_suse generates an undo-script, which you can find in /etc, if I remind correct.
